Hi,
I have worked for close to 10 yrs in IT(Maintenance & Support projects-C++/SQL),post which I had to take a 6 yr break . I have a good understanding of statistics, familiar with R and have done course & exit projects on coursera & EDX
I need some guidance if its even advisable to make a late shift? How should I prepare my resume. Is it really expected that a prospective candidate should really know all the algorithms (or a sound knowledge with projects done on Linear/Logistic regression along with a BI project(Tableau) would be suffice?
Just to give a brief have done the following courses/projects :
Coursera - “Excel to MySQL: Analytic Techniques for Busines(5 course specialization)” and The Analytics Edge -Edx
to gain knowledge of analytics(covers different ML algorithms).
As part of course have done 2 predictive models(Logistic & Linear) and have made an executive dashboard using Tableau. Do these courses/certification hold any value?Regards,
Parul
